Heirvo and IsoBuster: Compare the Workflow on Your Own Disc

Heirvo is designed around a free scan and in-app preview of personal discs, followed by a one-time license to save recovered files. IsoBuster provides a different set of disc and file-system tools. Test the actual disc and compare supported formats and output before choosing either product; no recovery tool can promise a result.

Heirvo's software offer

Recover costs $49 once for one Windows PC and unlocks saving recovered disc files. Archive costs $89 for up to three PCs and adds a local media vault, importing and spoken-word search. Family costs $129 for up to five household PCs and provides the same Archive features. Current release and paid-store availability are shown on the download page.

Compare using your own disc

  • Check whether the optical drive is compatible and the disc is detected.
  • Inspect actual previews and saved output instead of relying on sector percentages alone.
  • Check the vendor's current format support, licensing and refund terms.
  • Allow time for damaged areas to be read; a recovery may take hours.

Recovery, transcription and restoration are separate

Heirvo's Archive speech processing uses a local Whisper model. It makes recognised speech searchable; it does not guarantee every word, correct misspelled names automatically or restore the picture. The current offer excludes AI picture restoration and mail-in disc work.

For IsoBuster's current features and prices, consult the vendor's own product page. We do not publish unverified comparative success rates or claim that either tool will recover your disc.

Common questions

Should I pay before trying Heirvo?

Start with the free scan and inspect the preview. Pay to save only if the recovered result is useful to you.
